January 29th 2015 – During a regular inspection day we walked the pavilion construction together with the Commissioner General and general contractor representative. We are pleased to announce that work goes completely according to our common vision despite the construction speed and difficulty.

Multifunctional building in Brno

January 22nd 2015 – For our significant client, Brno Bishopric, we are processing the design of the multifunctional building with the training center, social space and accommodation facilities in the city center.

Passive apartment building in Innsbruck

January 21st 2015 – We have designed two passive apartment buildings at complicated area near the Innsbruck city center in Austria. Their shape and also urban location responds to the close proximity of high-rise buildings, railway line, need for maximum insolation and views of majestic peaks of the Alps encircling the entire city.

October 4th 2014 – Ondrej Chybik gave a lecture on the Czech EXPO Pavilion design process at Praha Cafe, Prazak Palace courtyard in Brno. Lecture was held within the Brno-Introspection project.

Modularity and the use of modular units in contemporary architectural practice

July 24th 2014 – Michal Kristof, partner CHKAA, together with the authors of the exhibition Panic Room Petr Dub and Tomas Moravec and next with Martina Flekacova, Igor Kovacevic, Petr Levinsky, Nina Michlovska, Jakub Potucek and Svatoluk Sladecek participated in a public discussion on the theme of “modularity and the use of modular units in contemporary architectural practice” in Karlin Studios showrooms, Prague-Karlin.

Koma Modular company premises

July 2014 – We have designed a temporary adjustment of the front space in KOMA Modular factory Vizovice. The design belongs to a long-term company premises transformation project. New front space opens whole area to the public, containing a stage for presentation of the new products, for example parts of the CR EXPO 2015 pavilion in Milan.

July 9th 2014 – Together with the Commissioner General for the Participation of the Czech at Expo 2015 in Milan and Koma Modular company we took over the land for the construction of the pavilion.

The school project ,,Regeneration strategy of housing estates” by students of Faculty Architecture Miroslava Šešulková, Marek Petrík a Martin Surovec have been awarded Bohuslav Fuchs Award 2012 – the best semester project at Faculty of Architecture UT in Brno. Supervisors of the project were architects Maxmilián Wittmann, Ondrej Chybík and Michal Krištof.

DISCUSION BRNO WATERFRONT

Michal Krištof (founding partner of CHYBIK+KRISTOF ASSOCIATED ARCHITECTS) hosted a discussion about the potential and the future of waterfront in Brno. The guests of the discusion were architect Karel Havlis and landscape architect Vladimir Babka.The discusion  was a part of the project Brno hraje na city. It was held in caffe Hrabenka in Brno.

The exceptionality of the wooden house lies in using the attributes of traditional regional architecture with regard to contemporary needs. Project’s coming soon.

SOUTH CENTER OF BRNO

CHYBIK+KRISTOF ASSOCIATED ARCHITECTS have started to work on a new urbanistic project focused on regeneration the South Center of Brno. The project aims to find new ways of waterfront utilization and of connecting the river and the town by temporary functions as a gallery, sports grounds and playgrounds.

LECTURE ON PUBLIC SPACES IN HOUSING ESTATES

CHYBIK+KRISTOF ASSOCIATED ARCHITECTS gave a lecture on public spaces in housing estates at the venue of the Faculty of Architecture in Brno, University of Technology. The lecture was held as a part of the series of lectures ,,Evolution of Housing Forms”.

SENIOR HOUSING PROJECT IN OPAVA

CHYBIK+KRISTOF ASSOCIATED ARCHITECTS joined the public architectonical competition for a senior housing project in Opava (Czech Republic). The project is coming soon.

STUDY FOR KOMA MODULAR

CHYBIK+KRISTOF ASSOCIATED ARCHITECTS finished the architectural study for the company KOMA MODULAR CONSTRUCTION Vizovice. It creates a new entrance space to the area of the company and includes wardrobes for employees and a canteen on the top. The project is coming soon.

PUBLIC LECTURES ON LIVING IN THE REGION OF CENTRAL EUROPE

CHYBIK+KRISTOF ASSOCIATED ARCHITECTS in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture, Brno University of Technology and SOFA (Students Organization of Faculty of Architecture) organize a series of public lectures on living in the region of Central Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria). Henrieta Moravčíková, Pavel Karous, Peter Stec and others accepted the invitation. Lectures are held at the Faculty of Architecture, Brno University of Technology every Tuesday.

WITTMANN AND CHYBIK+KRISTOF ASSOCIATED ARCHITECTS are starting their first Studio at Faculty of Architecture Brno University of Technology

CHYBIK+KRISTOF HAS WON THE COMPETITION TO DESIGN THE NEW HOUSING DANUBIA PARK BRATISLAVA, SK

Chybik+Krištof have won an international architectural competition with their project on the 33rd villa house in the newly-rebuilt site Danubia Park near Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia. A jury composed of leading experts (the head of the jury was prof. Eberle from Baumschlager Eberle Architects) unanimously announced the winner and recommended the project to a realization.

CHYBIK+KRIŠTOF WERE AWARDED 2ND PRIZE IN AN INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION ON A MASTERPLAN OF THE RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX.

Chybik+Krištof were awarded 2nd prize (the 1st prize was not granted) in an international architectural competition on a masterplan of the residential complex Danubia Park and of the new centre of Čunovo which is located on the boundaries of Slovakia with Austria and Hungary. The topic of the competition was to propose a masterplan of the centre with facilities, shops, a port, recreational areas and residential buildings.
