July 5th, 2018 – We were asked to design a new wine gallery in the town of Znojmo, Czech Republic. The gallery, which is to form a part of the newly renovated Znojmo Brewery, boasts an attractive location offering tremendous views of the historical urban landscape of Znojmo. A wine bar with a tasting room is to be a part of the gallery, giving guests a chance to sample the best wines of the region. Our proposal takes advantage of the existing rooms‘ six metres of clear height, which is divided into a wide variety of spaces of various scales and atmospheres by a set of load bearing walls made out of glass bricks. Each of the bricks to be used exclusively for this project are made from recycled wine bottles. New generously dimensioned wall windows are oriented towards the town, offering generous views of it.
